Starter Unit vs. Add-On Unit: What’s the Difference?

A Starter Unit is the first section of a pallet rack system. It includes two upright frames and the required beams, allowing it to stand independently. Starter units are used to begin a new row of pallet racking.

An Add-On Unit is designed to connect to an existing starter unit. It includes one additional upright frame and the required beams, sharing a frame with the previous section. Add-on units are a cost-effective way to expand your pallet rack system while maintaining the same strength and capacity.

Tip: Every row of pallet rack begins with a starter unit, and any additional sections are added using add-on units.
