How to Select Pallet Rack

Frame Capacity
Calculate the total weight of all pallets per bay (excluding those on the floor) to determine the required frame capacity. -
Height
Measure the total height, including pallet, load, and beam height. Add 4" clearance between the load and beam above, ensuring the top beam is at least 6" lower than your forklift’s maximum lift height. -
Depth
For a 48" pallet, use a 42" deep frame. Pallets should overhang by 3" on both front and back, and be in good condition. -
Width
Determine beam length by adding a minimum of 3" pallet-to-frame clearance and 4" between pallets. Ensure beams can support the load at each level. Add-on sections only require one additional frame and the necessary beams.
