How to Choose the Right Pallet Rack:
-
Frame Capacity: Calculate the total weight of all pallets per bay, excluding those on the floor.
-
Height: Measure pallet height, load, and beam height, adding 4" clearance. Ensure the top beam is at least 6" below your forklift's maximum lift height.
-
Depth: Pallets should overhang by 3" front and back (use a 42" frame for 48" pallets). Deduct 6" from pallet depth.
-
Width: Add 3" clearance from pallet to frame and 4" between pallets. Beams should support pallet weight at each level.
