How to Select the Right Pallet Rack
-
Frame Capacity: Add up the total pallet weight per bay (exclude floor-stored pallets).
-
Height: Measure pallet + load + beam height + 4" clearance; keep top beam 6" below forklift max lift height.
-
Depth: Pallet should overhang frame 3" front and back (use 42" deep frame for 48" pallets).
-
Width: Add 3" pallet-to-frame clearance + 4" between pallets to find correct beam length.
-
Each beam pair must support pallet weight per level.
-
-
Starter Unit Width: Add 6" to overall width for a starter unit.
-
Add-on sections require only one upright frame plus beams.
