How to Select the Right Pallet Rack

1. Frame Capacity: Add up the total pallet weight per bay (exclude floor-stored pallets).

2. Height: Measure pallet + load + beam height + 4" clearance; keep top beam 6" below forklift max lift height.

3. Depth: Pallet should overhang frame 3" front and back (use 42" deep frame for 48" pallets).

4. Width: Add 3" pallet-to-frame clearance + 4" between pallets to find correct beam length.

   • Each beam pair must support pallet weight per level.

5. Starter Unit Width: Add 6" to overall width for a starter unit.

   • Add-on sections require only one upright frame plus beams.
