How to Select Your Pallet Rack

1. Frame Capacity: Calculate the total weight of all pallets per bay (excluding floor pallets).
2. Height: Measure verticals including pallet, load, and beam height. Add 4" clearance between the top load and the beam above. The top beam should be 6" lower than your forklift's max lifting height.
3. Depth: Ensure pallets overhang the frame by 3" on both sides (e.g., for 48" pallets, use a 42" deep frame). Deduct 6" from pallet depth.
4. Width: Measure pallet width, adding 3" for pallet-to-frame clearance and 4" between pallets. Ensure beams support pallet weight per level. Add-on sections need one extra frame and the required beams.
